Organisation and planning first and foremost
When you are going on a family holiday with your children, it’s important to plan your activities in advance, taking into account the preferences of each member of the family. A smart combination between outings, rest time, playing, and food breaks will be the key to successful quality holidays with your kids.
One of the most attractive and children-friendly possibilities when planning family holidays in Spain are amusement parks. It’s always guaranteed fun, and it’s the best choice to make your kids happy. It’s new, exciting, and it’s an extraordinary experience that doesn’t happen every day of their lives.
For that purpose, we would like to propose you two of our best choices. On one hand, Port Aventura is a well-established amusement park in Tarragona, close to the city of Barcelona. You can spend one of your days in the amusement park, staying in the capital city of the Catalan Region all the same. It’s a very comfortable and affordable option, with the added appeal of getting to enjoy Barcelona and its own amusement park, called Tibidabo.

This amusement park, located in the heart of country offers numerous rides, performances, shows and activities which can guarantee you several days of fun. A more classical option would be Madrid’s Amusement Park in Casa de Campo area. The possibilities are many if we choose to stay in a hotel in Madrid.
Museums for kids
Many museums display exhibitions which have been especially made for initiating children in a variety of interesting subjects. Ranging from science museums to history museums, they all strive to make knowledge more fun and mind-stimulating, contributing to develop children’s curiosity.
Valencia’s Oceanogràfic and the Museum of Arts and Sciences are also interesting choices to keep in mind when travelling with children. Oceanogràfic is considered to be the biggest aquarium in Europe, representing the main sea ecosystems of the entire planet. You can admire the spectacular architecture of this building in the Submarino Restaurant or the entrance of the aquarium. As for the Príncipe Felipe Museum of Sciences, here you and your children will be able to enjoy interactive exhibitions and scientific animations, as well as get acquainted with the latest innovations in science and technology.
