Make the most of your stay during your time in Spain.
Begur is undoubtedly one of the must-see towns when we immerse ourselves in the region of Girona. Some of its main attractions are its stunning beaches, namely Sa Riera, next to Aiguablava. It’s a very easily accessible and family-friendly beach, and it's a place you will instantly fall in love with. Near Begur you will also find Aiguafreda (which translates as “Cold Water”), Fonda or Sa Tuna beaches.
Sant Pere Pescador
Situated between Roses and Sant Martí d'Empuries, this beach has one of the biggest sandy areas, boasting a total extension of 40 kilometres in length, which you will be able to enjoy if you stay in one of the hotels in Costa Brava. Besides being quite long, it is also very ample, making for the ideal beach to expand your towel on, stick your parasol in the sand and lay down to enjoy an unparalleled tranquillity during your holiday. Let's not forget that this beach is quite famous for being a paradise for kitesurfing, which is its most frequented area. Pertaining to the town of Sant Pere Pescador, kitesurfers have 7 kilometres of a beach beaten by the wind all to themselves. In the central area of the beach you can also visit the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, covered by wetlands.
If you stay within the surrounding area, The Montjoi Cove in Roses is one of the most spectacular enclaves. Its privileged habitat and the possibility of practising water sports are some of its main attractions. This place is capable of bewitching all its visitors, thanks to its divine natural environment.
The Boadella Cove is one of those fabulous places where the sea and the earth join forces to provide exceptional natural scenery. This beach is of rather small dimensions and is situated in picturesque settings. It has an allocated area for nudism practice. Unlike the previous ones, this beach is not so easily accessible: in order to get here, you will have to go through a considerably hidden pathway surrounded by a pine grove. For that reason, the Boadella Cove is less frequented, in spite of offering a variety of services like showers, and even a bar. It is a very calm place, especially when compared to most of the other touristic places in the area.
Senyor Ramon Cove
One of the biggest nature shows you are going to find if you stay in one of the hotels in Costa Brava during your resting time is this beautiful cove located in Santa Cristina d’Aro. This cove isn’t very easily accessible either, for it is surrounded by cliffs. However, it also has an 800-metre long sandy area and gorgeous turquoise waters. Nudism is also allowed here.
You will find this beach in Cadaqués, one of the most charming towns in Girona. Situated in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, it offers splendid views of white houses and reminiscences of Salvador Dalí, making for a truly magical place. Its promenade has great terraces close at hand, and it’s ideal for families with children. Now you don’t have an excuse to have a drink while marvelling in the views of the sea! Now that we’ve taken you on this tour through the most magnificent corners of the region of Girona, what are you waiting for to start looking for hotels in Costa Brava and immerse yourself in the crystalline waters on this part of the Mediterranean?
