There will also be time for Renaissance and Baroque music, classic guitar with the great Pepe Romero, and flamenco guitar with Vicente Amigo and young Juan Habichuela “Nieto”.

Besides music, poetry is also one of this festival’s top headliners. Charles Dance -a renowned British actor- is one of the key figures in this year’s programme of the International Festival of Music and Dance. He will star as a narrator in the dramatised version of Egmont by Beethoven alongside the Orchester Wiener Akademie. On the other hand, Spanish actress Blanca Portillo will do a night poem session at Patio de Arrayanes, reading the works of María Teresa de Jesús, accompanied by music performed by Ensamble Plus Ultra.
